Wearables
The number, without the phone.
The Apple Watch app keeps a workout session running so the watch stays awake for the whole round, and it holds the hole geometry itself — so distances come from the watch's own GPS rather than waiting on your pocket. You can speak a score into it instead of tapping.

A four-state presence model — away, maybe, at the club, spotted off-property — so when you go to build a match the right names are already in front of you.
- A geofence wakes the app when you drive onto the property.
- Peer-to-peer Bluetooth surfaces nearby members when GPS is not enough.
- One notification per arrival, gated on somebody actually being there. Never a stream.
- Ephemeral by design — coordinates expire in ten minutes and are never stored.
